The Australian Broadcasting Corporation is working in partnership with Radio National of Kampuchea to implement the Cambodia Radio Development Assistance Project funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). More information can be obtained by visiting the Project page.
The CRDAP seeks to contribute to democracy and development in Cambodia through enhancing citizen access to balanced and high quality information. The CRDAP is working with RNK to produce talkback programs in Khmer which cover a wide range of social, development and policy issues relevant to the lives of all Cambodians. The program features guests including Government officials and representatives from civil society and non-government organizations. A list of topics, guests and issues discussed on programs and Upcoming Topics is provided on the website under Program Content.
The talkback programs are very popular with as many as 120 calls received during a one hour program. The interactive talkback program format enables citizens to call in and discuss issues of importance to them and raise questions for experts. The program goes to air four times a week on RNKs AM 918 station and is relayed on a number of Provincial Information Service stations. It is re-broadcast the following morning on RNK AM918.
